Dennis W. Light

Dennis is a founding member of RLS and a graduate of Pace University Law School and he is admitted to practice state and/or federal law in three jurisdictions: New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. After gaining valuable legal experience from several, well-established local firms,

Mr. Light was a solo-practitioner from 2002 until October 13, 2009, which is the establishment date for RLO. His current practice areas include: civil litigation, criminal and DWI defense, real estate
and business transactions, debt collection, landlord tenant disputes, family and domestic relations law.

The practice of law is a second career for Mr. Light after a more than 15-years in the plumbing and heating industry as a contractor and salesman. Mr. Light attended law school at night, while working full time during the day and helping his wife raise a family of six children. His experiences have played a significant role in Mr. Light’s trial practice where he has obtained many favorable results for clients facing serious criminal charges. Never forgetting that education was the primary source of his success, Mr. Light has taught others about Criminal Law as an adjunct professor at Mercy College.
